Rev Steve playing a Schecter C-1 with a Sustainiac through a 5150 on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. This guitar was for sale on that date at Guitar Center of Alexandria, Virginia, when I stopped in to play it.

 

Unlike most other Sustainiac-equipped guitars I have played, this one has a hardtail bridge. It may be my favorite one yet!

Most of the other Schecters configured with this pickup (a Sustainiac is an infinite sustain system that resonates the sting in a magnetic field) have Floyd-Rose tremolos, which are great,  but the sure, hard attack and precise pitch of bends on a hardtail bridge are exceptional.
