Love Notes for Kae the Red – Signs and Messages from Los Angeles

 

This is a video I made during my most recent trip to Los Angeles. I photographed signs and messages (many from the sidewalks and streets themselves) and compiled them with these one time one take blues tracks played over some drumming from Jim Dooley, who supplies drum tracks via his website.

The guitar used is called a Traveler, it is a single piece of maple, has no headstock, and the tuners are under the “body” of the guitar, in front of the bridge. It is tracked in Fender Studio, and the amp modelers and effects are part of the software.
